1.Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Invitely ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and digital invitation services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

2.Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, information created as you use the Service, and information from third parties who help us operate it:

  • Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form) when you sign up.
  • Event and invitation content — the details you add to invitations, such as titles, dates, locations, images, and messages.
  • Guest and RSVP data — information your guests submit, including their names, RSVP responses, party sizes, dietary notes, and messages, plus any photos shared to an event gallery.
  • Payment information — when you purchase a package, payments are processed by Stripe. We receive limited details such as the last four digits of your card and billing status, but we never store full card numbers.
  • Usage and device data — pages viewed, features used, approximate location, browser type, and similar analytics collected via cookies and similar technologies.

3.How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including creating and delivering invitations and tracking RSVPs.
  • Process payments and manage your subscriptions or one-time purchases.
  • Send transactional messages such as RSVP confirmations, host alerts, receipts, and replies to your enquiries.
  • Monitor for fraud, abuse, and security issues, and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.

4.How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers — trusted vendors who process data on our behalf, including Supabase (database and authentication hosting), Stripe (payments), and Resend (transactional email).
  • Event participants — RSVP and gallery content you or your guests contribute is visible to the relevant event host and, where applicable, other invited guests.
  • Legal reasons — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Invitely, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

5.Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as language and currency), and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect functionality.

6.Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information after account closure where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

7.Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8.Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

9.Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

10.International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, where data protection laws may differ. Where required, we take steps to ensure your information receives an adequate level of protection.

11.Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
